These little bamboo plants seem to be the craze at work, every desk seems to have one. For some weird reason I cannot even begin to explain, I have inherited a bamboo plant myself.

This is the bamboo of the girl I sit next to:

Very nice, healthy looking bamboo.

Now here is mine...

This is the funniest e-mail I have probably ever received, and it's junk mail.

Can I get that with foam? How do you drink an ejaculatte, double double or extra cream?

Sunday, November 05, 2006

I can't believe I haven't posted this, as it happened a little while ago.

I apologize for this random act of vandalism. I was drunk, walking in the rain and suddenly wanted to lash out at society.

That and I'm fucking sick of these election signs all over.

I want to know how something so beautiful could turn so ugly...

Something fucking hilarious happened today other than the Habs winning and the Leafs losing (to the Sens no less). Anyways, this happened at work, so I'm not sure how funny it'll be to other people, but to me it's hilarious so fuck off, I'm writing about it.

This one trainer at work went off on this new guy because she keeps repeating the same stuff to him over and over and he's just not getting it. So she's blasting him, going off and he's just responding when all of a sudden he goes:

"Do you want to buy my cell phone?"

So everyone kind of goes quiet and get that what the fuck?! look.

Maybe it's because he has an accent, maybe it's just the randomness but I just start laughing my ass off. So he's trying to explain or he's saying something but I just kept talking over him, asking the trainer random shit like:

"Hey, this weekend, wanna mow my lawn?"

"Hey hey, next week, wanna dry clean my shirts?"

I went off like that for about 5 minutes before walking away.

I'll take my drama controlled, thank you very much.

I was never a huge fan of bacon, but within the last two weeks because of work, I'm going to be eating a billion times more of it.

It's a bacon celebration.

Eat pork. Lots of it.

Everyone, together now.

I love my family, and I love road hockey, so this blog entry will contain both.

Fun Daniel fact:

I eat cereal almost every day, but very rarely in the morning.
I usually will have a bowl between 11:00pm and 2:00am.

Walking back from the subway station, my sister was tired so her fiancé Fred gave her a piggyback ride for a bit.

I pointed to her, then him and said, "You're Frodo, he's Samwise Gamgee and we're on that fucked up mountain!"

I just had one of the best weekends of my life. I left everything behind, my PC, my work, my friends, my family...

Left everything behind, just went out of town and I did something for me.

I forgot about all the stress and bullshit in my life, I detached myself emotionally from everything going on around me, good and bad and just took off and focused on myself.

I feel good. I honestly, really feel good right now. I needed to just find myself again, as cliché, corny and stupid as that sounds...

I feel alive. I feel healed. I feel fucking great.

So... I'm going to end this blog entry with one of my favourite lyrics from a Metallica song (of course). I've blogged 'em before I'm sure but they really describe how I feel...

Those people who tell you not to take chances
They are all missing on what life is about
You only live once so take hold of the chance
Don't end up like others the same fucking dance

It's no secret that I am a huge Metallica fan. There are certain songs of theirs that I can say I listen to often, and Holier Than Thou isn't really one of them (from the "black" album). I have always liked it though as it's heavy and rocks, but I can't say I could really relate to it like say, The Unforgiven, or other songs. I couldn't say that I actually got the song.

Today, that changed.

Holier Than Thou
by Metallica

No more!

The craps rolls out your mouth again
Haven't changed, your brain is still gelatin
Little whispers circle around your head
Why don't you worry about yourself instead

Who are you? Where ya been? Where ya from?
Gossip is burning on the tip of your tongue
You lie so much you believe yourself
Judge not lest ye be judged yourself

Holier than thou

You are
Holier than thou
You are

You know not

Before you judge me take a look at you
Can't you find somethig better to do
Point the finger, slow to understand

Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand

It's not who you are it's who you know
Others lives are the basis of your own
Burn your bridges build them back with wealth
Judge not lest ye be judged yourself

Holier than thou
You are
Holier than thou

You are

You know not .

My Sister's Birthday

A few pictures from the night out we had for my sister Sophie's 23rd birthday. We had a blast... I can't remember the last time I had so much fun.

Here's a little description:

- The most fucked up picture I've ever seen. That's our friend Kevin on one side, and my sister on the other. I don't think you could recreate this picture even if you tried. I'm not sure you'd want to.

- We were on the subway and Fred and I had to go. Couldn't hold it any more. He found a cup, meanwhile I had some bottle. I was very careful to ensure none of my body parts actually touched the bottle in any way. We ended up opening the subway door and tossing it out. Really fucked.

- Outside the bar, one of many ice cubes they had put in my shirt. I took a picture. Don't ask why.

- There's really nothing to say about this picture. I have no idea why I'm even posting it.

- Fred (my sister's fiance), Sophie and I. Man, we were fucking wasted.

I haven't had fun like this in I don't fucking know how long.

Double pang weekend on Albatross18!

... What? You don't know what pang is? What? You don't know what Albatross18 is?!

It's a free massively multiplayer golf game. Yes, I know golf is dumb, but this game is actually fun and addictive.

Did I mention it's free?

I'm on there as MetallicaDan. Check it out by clicking HERE.

(It's hilarious how much I sound like one of those corny referral sites)

Ah the sweet irony of those two keys being beside each other on my keyboard, like two partners in crime conspiring together!

Tuesday, September 19, 2006

I hate when people say "What, you don't know?" when you ask them a question. Obviously, dickwad, if I knew the fucking answer I wouldn't ask the question.

In fact, I may be stupid to have asked, but you're a billion times the dumb ass for asking me if I knew or not.

That's all for tonight.

There comes times in life when you are tempted by short term gain (usually followed by long term pain), primal wants and easy accessibility of something that would challenge your values, morals and essentially your integrity.

Not necessarily a life shattering decision, it still goes against everything you're about.

In those cases, you choose to walk away and be patient, even though it would probably feel damn good.

It's the curse of being a nice person.

I love this quote my friend has on her MSN nickname. It's great and makes me laugh:

"When I grow up, I want to be a stupid, spoiled whore!"

As much as I pretend not to be a nerd, video games have always been present in my life. I got a Nintendo when it first came out, paid with my own money and it just took off from there.

But I've also played games on my PC for years. Many of the games I used to play in my youth were adventure games by LucasArts.

I recently got my hands on all those games I used to play, 16 in all.

I'm in heaven.

You know how sometimes you tend to remember things from your childhood as really awesome and when you end up watching or playing them again as an adult it just isn't as fun?

This isn't one of those times.
